Frequently Asked Questions

Our Clinic Policies

All patients are required to fill and sign patient intake forms and related questionnaires prior to the visit.

An updated credit card is required to be kept on file for each patient.

We have a no-show/cancellation policy: If you do not show up for your appointment it will result in a 100% charge for the missed appointment. Late cancellations (within 24 hours of your appointment, unrelated to COVID-19) will also be charged 100% of the total fee.

What to expect at your RMT session:

INITIAL VISIT

When you arrive at your appointment please only show up a few minutes early and wait outside room 810 (on the 8th floor) for your therapist to let you in. Each visit will include assessment, hands-on treatment, reassessment and education (such as homecare, what to expect for your next appointment etc.)

The treatment room is where the RMT will go through your intake and ask questions regarding the condition/area you are wanting to be treated. This is all part of the assessment portion. The therapist will then inform you of what to expect during your personalized treatment and get you to sign a consent treatment form for the treatment. After the hands-on treatment, there will be time for home care and reassessment to see how you’re feeling and to document any results as well as any alterations that may be needed for the following treatment.

All of this takes place during your time slot that is booked.

You may stop and ask questions or even stop the treatment at any time. Communication is key to guaranteeing your comfort and making sure both you and the therapist are on the same page.

SUBSEQUENT VISITS

The majority of forms will not have to be filled out again. The only exception is if you see a different therapist where you would then have to sign another consent to treatment form.

For each treatment, there will still be a brief assessment to make sure the treatment will be as effective as possible.

Yes! Please go to our Billing tab for more information about insurers and the billing process.

Do you have a waiting room?

Unfortunately, we do not have a waiting room. You will need to wait in the hallway in front of unit 810 and when it is your appointment time your therapist will let you in. There is a sign on the door. If it states “in session” please do not knock, just wait patiently. If it shares “Come in” feel free to knock and open the door.

*Reminder, please try not to show up more than 5 minutes before your appointment time. This is to lessen congestion in the hallway.

How do I get into the building if the door is locked?

The front door to the building is locked after 5 pm weekdays and all day on weekends. In the reminder text for your appointment you will receive the buzzer code “810” that you will input and the door will unlock. If there are any issues with this process feel free to give us a call and we will come and get you in person (604-690-7301).

Where is the washroom?

The washrooms are located in the stairwells beside the elevator alternating male and female on each floor. You will need to get the key before you can access it. Please ask your therapist and they will give it to you and show you where it is.

*Please remember to bring the key back when you return.
